Despite a lot of negative cultural connotations associated with the number 13, it seems to be a lucky number for me. In fact, it has become my favorite number.
September 13, 1969 - Mr. Cheeks was born. Could be the luckiest day of my life, even though I hadn't even been born yet. Thirty years and three months later, December 13, 1999 - he told me that he loved me for the very first time. Eight months later, August 13, 2000 - he asked me to be his wife. One year and two months later, October 13, 2001 - we became husband and wife. Ten months later, August 13, 2002 - we bought our first house together, the house where we'll raise our family.
Pretty darn lucky if you ask me.

It IS a pretty strange coincidence that two of my favorite men in the whole wide world were born in September...
