Today is Day 1 of the next phase of my marriage.
A little background - I've been married for almost 8 years and for a little more than 5 of those years, Mr. Cheeks has been in a job that has required a great deal of travel. It was very common for him to be on the road for 2-3 nights almost every week.
Earlier this year, we embarked on the baby-making phase of our marriage. I'm 36 years old, so we need to get hopping if we want 2 or 3 of the little darlings. A couple of months ago, Mr. Cheeks went to his boss and they talked about him transitioning to a position in the company that would allow him to be home every night.
Starting on Monday, Mr. Cheeks starts his new job! He flew home last night from his final trip and so now we're back to a "normal" marriage. To celebrate, we sipped a couple of Blue Moon beers (with a slice of orange in the glass - yum!) on the back porch last night. And we had sweet, slow sex in the rocking chair out there. I love the night air on my bare skin. *sighs happily*
